Has your craft unfolded how you thought it would? What has been most surprising?
I’m not sure life has unfolded how I thought it would, let alone all of the pieces that make up my life. Being an artist is a great privilege but it also comes with a huge responsibility. I will always paint and have always painted, it’s not something I do but a part of who I am. The biggest surprise comes from within, unlocking a thought that’s uncomfortable, being brave enough to try an idea, failing and going again, and again.
Anything you want to do that you haven't done yet creatively?
The idea business is chaotic, filing through thoughts of ambition.
We all have them, symbiotic deja vu. In all honesty I hope to challenge myself and grow.
The first step will be working with sound.
What’s the best lesson you’ve learnt in your (craft) journey?
To listen.
What piece of advice has been given to you, that you would like to pass on?
The best qualities in a human being can not be measured in tests.
What’s the most special item or piece that you own?
My engagement ring, a sparkly eternity ring that constantly reminds me of the commitment to my family, my life and all that we have created.
What or who are you currently inspired by?
I have been thinking a lot lately about looking at everything with a lens of empathy.
How to see inspiration in the mundane. How too connect with the world and people so that
I can be surprised and learn from the most unlikely places.
